Seed Dreaming - Molly Tasman Napurrurla

This Dreaming tells of the special seeds that women collect from Country and prepare as an important source of food.

Many different types of seeds are gathered, depending on the season and what is available. The women clean and grind the seeds into a fine powder before mixing it with water to make a traditional damper. The damper is then placed in the hot coals and ashes of the fire to cook.

The Dreaming carries knowledge of these foods and their preparation, including where the different seeds can be found, when they are ready to collect, and how they are prepared and shared.
