Bush tucker is a major subject of painting for Aboriginal artists, which is strongly related to the ancient knowledge from their past of hunter-gatherers. In Canteen Creek, people are still collecting bush tucker to feed their family and provide a healthy alternative to the Western food and to gather the whole family for teaching about the bush (bush school).
