Mice Pair - Lena Yarinkura

In the early 2000’s, UAP formed a partnership with MAC (Maningrida Arts and Culture, ) in the NT, whereby 15 artists were introduced to new ways of translating their artworks via the foundry processes of pattern making and metal casting.

Several workshops were held in both Maningrida and UAP, and a series of cast aluminium and bronze artworks were
produced. Lena Yarinkura was one of these artists, and her cast works have consistently sold over the decades. In 2020, Yarinkura was commissioned to produce a new series of her much-loved Camp Dogs, for a private commission. Two of these dogs, Marlinj and Kummukkarlu were editioned, and this is their first opportunity to be exhibited.
