Art Leven Woolloomooloo gallery

Art Leven has been featured in a recent review by What’s On Sydney , marking the opening of its new Woolloomooloo gallery.

The review reflects on the gallery’s harbour-side setting and the transition to a new multi-level space designed to support a focused and considered exhibition program.

The opening program brings together two exhibitions: The Places That Know Us by Mitjili Napangka Gibson, and Gatherings, a sculptural presentation developed in collaboration with Urban Art Projects. Together, these exhibitions explore relationships between Country, material, and cultural knowledge.

The gallery builds on a long history of working with First Nations artists and communities, with the new space representing a continuation and expansion of this curatorial approach.

The Woolloomooloo location provides an environment for considered viewing, including light-filled exhibition spaces and a dedicated courtyard for sculpture.
