Art Leven Opens New Woolloomooloo Gallery
Art Leven has been featured in coverage by National Indigenous Times , marking the opening of its new gallery space in Woolloomooloo.
The new multi-level gallery represents a significant development for the organisation, enabling a more focused exhibition program across painting, sculpture, and film.
The opening program includes The Places That Know Us, a major presentation by Mitjili Napangka Gibson, alongside Gatherings, a collaborative sculptural exhibition developed with Urban Art Projects.
Formerly operating as Cooee Art in Redfern, the move to Woolloomooloo marks a new chapter for the gallery, building on over four decades of working with First Nations artists and communities across Australia.
The gallery continues its commitment to presenting First Nations art through a considered curatorial approach grounded in long-term relationships and cultural knowledge.
